Easy Chocolate Chia Oat Bake
This super simple Chocolate Chia Oat Bake comes together in a flash and is oh-so-yummy!
Delicious as a happy Breakfast Treat or even as a Dessert.

1 Tbsp. / 15ml Chia Seeds
2/3 Cup / 175ml Non-dairy Milk - Almond or Oat Milk
1 cup Old-Fashioned Oats
1 Ripe Banana
¼ cup / 62.5ml Chocolate Protein Powder
1 Egg
1 Tbsp. / 15mlVanilla
2 Tbsp. / 30ml Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
2 Tbsp. / 30ml Honey / Maple Syrup / Coconut Nectar / Organic Sugar
¼ tsp. / 1 ml Salt
2 tsp. / 30ml Baking Powder
4 Tbsp. / 60ml Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F / 180°C.
Spread 4 ramekins with butter and set aside.
Soak Chia Seeds in Non-diary Milk
1 Tbsp. / 15ml Chia Seeds
2/3 Cup / 175ml Non-dairy Milk - Almond or Oat Milk
Add all other ingredients (excluding the baking powder and chocolate chips) to a blender and blend until smooth.
1 cup Old-Fashioned Oats
1 Ripe Banana
¼ cup / 62.5ml Chocolate Protein Powder
1 Egg
1 Tbsp. / 15ml Vanilla
2 Tbsp. / 30ml Cocoa Powder
2 Tbsp. / 30ml Honey
¼ tsp. / 1 ml Salt
(Note that this batter can be kept aside in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.)
Stir baking powder into the blended batter and pour into the ramekins.
2 tsp. / 30ml Baking Powder
Top with chocolate chips.
4 Tbsp. / 60ml Chocolate Chips
Bake for 30 minutes until entirely baked through.
Remove from the oven and allow to rest 5 minutes before scooping in!
Serve. Personally I add milk to this bake and eat it. YUM!!!
Bake can also be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Note that the bakes could dry out over time and will then not be nearly as moist and spongy.
